Friday Randoms

Did this week seem extremely long to anyone else? Maybe it's because I'm counting down the days until I get MARRIED!!!!! Wait, are you sick of me saying that yet? Too bad:) Or until we go to ITALY!!! That's annoying too huh?

My co-worker and I had to visit a client today who lives really really far out in the country. Like have to open 3 cow fences and an electric fence kind of far out. I told her we needed raises immediately.

I have been obsessed with humus again. I vaguely remember writing something like this before and then telling you all how it gave me tummy trubs. This time I'm rationing myself. My favorite is the Sabra Roasted Red Pepper.

Here is a recent OOTD. I took this while I was at my FINAL dress fitting. I need a mirror like this in my house asap.

Dress: Target
Necklace: ?
Shoes:Target

I really really want to see The 5 Year Engagement, but J assures me it is a chick flick and doesn't want to go. This from the man who watched Bridesmaids and the first Twilight by himself. Lame. Him not seeing the movie, not that he actually watches chick flicks.

At my bachelorette party last weekend, my friend Adi made me this cute bracelet. It says future and then my new last name. I thought it was adorable even though it broke within an hour. She assured me she could re-craft me one in no time. Kid crafts are her specialty by the way.

I have been obsessing over paper products lately. I found these lovelies at Michaels near the checkout stands and they were only a dolla!

I broke down and finally ordered a pair of TOMS. I wanted something comfy to wear in Italy. I thought the gray would go best with a lot of outfits but I also loved the red, polka dot, and black.

Welp, I think that's about it folks. I'm off to bed soon. J and I have a wedding reception brunch to attend tomorrow morning and then it's off to finish up buying the last minute things for the big day.

1 week from tomorrow!!!!

Several years ago I typed up everything I wanted to do in life. Not the general, be happy, spend time with family, etc. but concrete things I could actually cross of my list. Who doesn't love the feeling of crossing something off of your to do list?

I feel the word "bucket list" thang is so cliche but alas it is what it is. I updated my little gem of a list today and thought I'd share. Over the years I add things and take things off. The older I get I realize some of the things I had listed before were no longer important or something I want to do now.

I'm nosey, so feel free to do a post about yours. And maybe if we have some of the same ones we can knock them out together:)

Bachelorette Party

See these ladies? These are just a few of the ladies that helped make my bachelorette party one I'll never forget.

We went to Kansas City and stayed on the plaza. We shoped and laughed and shoped some more. Did I mention there was laughing? Lots and lots of laughing. It's amazing what time with good friends can do for a person.

I also got some amazing gifts. I'm so glad I won't have to wear my pajama pants with the hole in the butt on my wedding night. What would I do without these girls?

My friend Molly couldn't make it to my shower a few weekends ago and gracisouly gifted us with a waffle maker. I really do love it and have no idea why I look frightend by it. I think someone needs to make a website for awkward shower gift faces.

Later that night we all got ready for dinner and headed to the Power and Light District in downtown Kansas City. Power and Light is a big outdoor area with several bars and restaurants all in one space.

I'm a little sad this was the only group pic we got of everyone.

Thanks again to all my wonderful friends for an amazing bachelorette party.

And because I know you all are waiting on pins and needles for a wedding countdown update....

Take me to the movies!

There are a bunch of new movies coming out that would lend themselves to the perfect date night.

J and I also saw 21 Jump Street recently. The funniest movie I have seen in a long time. Go see it.

What movies are you looking forward to seeing?

Our Easter: The Day

Finally part 2 of our Easter. I know you all have been just dying waiting for it.

J and I went to Easter service at church along with my parents, and my sister and her family. Before we went I made these little cuties for breakfast.

We also let Ben go through his Easter Basket from us. The actual Easter bunny comes at the grandparent's house.
I got Ben this new Easter basket from Pottery Barn kids. Unfortunately I left it at my parents house so he got to use a Walmart sack at J's family's egg hunt. Why do I do these things?

After church we had lunch at my parent's house and made the kids wait through a mini photo shoot, the entire meal and celebrating my sister's birthday before we let them hunt for the eggs.
Are they not adorable?

Happy Birthday to my sissy!

Ben insisted on putting on this spectacular outfit for egg hunting.
After lots and lots of candy consumption, we headed up to J's Aunt's house for dinner and another egg hunt.

You would think it was Christmas from all the baskets and goodies all the kids got.

After dinner, all the kids waited by the door, while the adults checked to make sure the bunny had left his eggs and then it was every kid for themselves.

And if you made it to the end of the post I applaud you. You also might notice that we didn't get one decent picture of the 3 of us as a family. Notice I said decent. We attempted, and Ben fought back with a vengeance.

"He is not here: for he is risen as he said."

Trust in the Lord

For He is good.

Wondering where I have been and why the lack of posting?

Well that's because I started a new job!!!!

I didn't want to post anything until it was official and with the first full week under my belt, I'd say it's more than official:)

My official title is Senior Behavior Analyst and I am doing pretty much the same thing that I did at my old job, but with a lot more freedom to be creative and create programs, groups, etc. Not to mention I'm re-united with a co-worker from my old job. You might know her.

I'm really really going to miss my old co-workers especially the best office mate a girl could ask for, but I am so excited for this new adventure.

This is something I have thought and worried about for a while. Sometimes I have a hard time with change. Trusting the Lord has been key. I highly recommend this if you're anxious about something.

Cheers to new beginnings!

Our Easter: The festivities

I'm going to break our Easter into 2 parts to keep this post from getting ridiculously long with a million pictures of my kid picking up eggs. Let's face it, if you're not family it's probably not that interesting. Heck, even if you are family you'll probably still be bored:)

The night before Easter we boiled our eggs and got to decorating!

Someone, aka daddy, thought it would be a good idea to use the tinniest bowls we have for the dye. Note to self: next year get plastic cups.

I also attempted to make "carrots" from white chocolate dyed orange and strawberries. They turned out less than stellar. Dipping the cold strawberries into the melted the chocolate caused the chocolate to slip right off. I had to resort to clumping the chocolate on in hopes it would take, hence the lumpy looking carrot.

I also made this birthday cake for my sister since we were celebrating her birthday on Easter.

After bath time, Ben finished decorating his eggs with stickers and then it was off to bed to wait for the Easter bunny in the morning.

Easter Part 2 coming tomorrow!
