White Chocolate Covered Popcorn

I promise, last post about anything related to a baby shower:) And really, you should be making this popcorn anyway. Shower favor or not.
You guys, this stuff is good. Really good. J was eating it faster than I could put it in the baggies.
Anytime I throw a party whether it's for a birthday, baby, wedding, or anything in between, my go to party favor usually involves food.  I figure a. who doesn't like food & b. no one needs another little trinket floating around their house that they will never use. So food it is.
This white chocolate covered popcorn was Delicious, fairly easy to make, and packaged up nicely for guests to take with them.

What you'll need:
-lightly buttered popcorn (you want some butter so you get the mix of salty and sweet)
-white chocolate chips
-food coloring (if you want to have colored popcorn)
-baggies and ribbon (nix this if your just making it to eat it-which you should!)
Start by popping your popcorn. Once it's done, using your hand, remove the popcorn from the bag and place into a LARGE mixing bowl. *if you just dump the bag into the bowl you end up getting the kernels as well and no one wants to chop into a kernel while stuffing their face*

Over low heat, melt the white chocolate chips until smooth. Add food coloring if you desire. I used the paste food coloring (found at Walmart or Michaels). If you add the liquid kind, the chocolate will seize up.
Once the chocolate chips are melted, pour the chocolate over the popcorn.
Mix thoroughly.
And eat it up!!!
Unless these are party favors:(
Once the popcorn is coated evenly, place it on a large greased cookie sheet. I put mine in the fridge for about 15 minutes for the chocolate to harden which made it easier to put in the baggies.
Fill the baggies and tie with ribbon.
And your party favors are complete!
