Work Retreats

My first work retreat was at my old job. When we heard the word "retreat" we all thought relaxation, group bonding, and maybe a little education.

Well the retreat ended up turning into a half day full of boringness, bitching, and it was anything but retreatful. Yes, it's a word.

A few months ago my new boss at my new job announced we were having a work retreat. Imagine the immediate dread I felt. I should have known better than to doubt however, because everything about this job and the way they treat people is different.

There was dinner, games, a whole lot of laughing, and even a pretty sweet limo.

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my job and co-workers?

Faith, Hope, & Pixie Dust: Halloween 2012

Our Halloween started with a party at Ben's school. All his little friends were adorable.

Then it was off to J's parents house. Ben's cousins dropped by and it was nothing short of amazing that we were able to capture this picture.

Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Ben's uncle. I love his daughter's face. She looks slightly frightened that Ben might whack her with the sword.

Only in small town do police stop and give out candy.

One last flight of the evening with J's cousin.

Monday, Monday

Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be.

Ha ha. But still a good song none the less.

Last night J and I had a little date at the Cheesecake Factory and then went to see MythBusters Live. It was neat to see the guys in person, watch them do some crazy tricks, and even make a few messes.
The downside was that the show was 2 hours from home and didn't start until 7:30 so it made for a pretty late night.

I have no zero motivation lately. Like none. I'm also ready for bed every night 8:00.

I'm so far behind on posting including our vacation and Halloween with the cutest Peter Pan ever.

I've officially started Christmas shopping. I've also been itching to put up the tree, but I've been told I'm not allowed until after Thanksgiving. Boo.

I'm dead set on putting up lights on the outside of our house this year. J is dead set on not. Hmmm. He should just be thankful I don't want something like this.

And it looks like I'm not the only one who hasn't been updating my blog update those blogs and tell me what you all have been up to?
