5 on Friday

Happy Friday! Let's do this.

I stumbled across this blog a week or so ago and I cannot stop thinking about Kilee's hair. Love the style, love the ombre, love everything about it. It doesn't hurt that she is so freakin cute. I'm dying to get my hair cut like this and try the ombre look again, but probably a little more subtle than Kilee's.

I am loving these colored skinny jeans on Jack. I also ordered him a red pair from Baby Gap this week when they were having an additional 50% off sale items online.

My friend and boss got Ben this Ninja Turtle bath towel for his birthday. It is the softest thing ever. If I didn't think he'd get upset, I would totally use this for myself. How awesome would I look?

A couple of weeks ago a new Chick Fil A opened about 30 minutes away from us. I've eaten at one a couple of times on vacation and when I visited my sister when she lived in Georgia. What I'm about to say might seem like blasphemy for some of you southerners...Chick Fil A is good, but I don't think it's  overly special or delicious. Definitely not amazing enough to warrant sleeping outside in tents in -10 degree whether to be one of the first people to eat it when it opened. Oh yes, people did that. LOTS of people. Don't get me wrong, it's good. Much better than other fast food alternatives, but there's a lot of hype. I do however LOVE being called ma'am by the employees.

I started reading the Wife After God devotional and am doing "online discussions" with Kate and a few other ladies. I was so excited Kate suggested this. I've been wanting to do a devotional and discussion for a while and this is perfect! I'll let you know how it goes.

What do you all have planned this weekend? We're supposed to be celebrating my MIL's birthday on Saturday, but with projected snow and ice on the way we may be staying inside and snuggling up in our pjs. Whatever you do, have a wonderful weekend!

  1. As a bonafide southern girl I am with you on the chic fil a. I do not understand how that would make anyone want to camp out. Hello it is a freakin' peanut oil fried chicken sandwich. But I have to flip the coin and tell you that normally that is where we end up when we go to a town that has one (my little map dot does not have one). Get that towel and use that towel. I am doing the Jesus Calling it.

    1. So you glad you are with me on the Chick Fil A:) How do you like Jesus Calling? That's the next one on my list.

  2. Hello from the link up :) Your little guy is adorable! I LOVE Chickfila -- the food and the employees' fantastic service, ma'am ;) Hope you're enjoying a fabulous weekend!!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you had a great weekend!
