5 on Friday

Sorry for the lack of posts, but I've been out of town for work all week. I got home yesterday evening and I can't tell you how happy I was to be home. The boys and J all welcomed me home with lots of love!

This work trip marked the first time that I've been away from Jack for more than a day, the longest I've been away from J since we've been together, and the first time J had to watch both boys for a week by himself. I'm happy to report not only did all 3 survive, but they seemed to have lots of fun and daddy didn't run out of the house screaming as soon as I got back. He even cleaned the house, did some laundry, and took out the trash on trash day. Living kids, washed dishes, and a clean house. I'm one lucky girl.

My OCD came in handy before I left and I wanted to make everything was as easy as possible for J and the kids while I was gone. I laid out all the outfits for week, packed Jack's food for the whole week for the babysitter, and left several notes and reminders. Yes, I'm crazy. Thankfully my husband already knows this.

One of the many great things about my job is that I get to work with my friends. And I don't just mean the "oh my co-workers are also my friends kinda friends." One night our company took us to Dave & Busters where what we thought was a regular photo booth turned out to be a photo booth on crack which is how this happened.

The lobby of our office in St. Louis where the training was held. I'm going to need this in my office asap. We thought it was fun to say things like, "I can't hear you over the waterfall." We're clearly hilarious.

Did I mention how glad I was to see these two?

Happy Friday!

  1. Whoa that office lobby is awesome! And also, your kiddos are absolutely adorable! I'm about to have my first, and seeing sweet pictures like this one make me even more excited about being a mama! :)

I found you through the link up! I hope you have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks for stopping by and congrats on your little one!

  2. That's really sweet of Jack. I guess he wanted you to rest up as soon as you got home, which is why he decided to do all the chores and clean the house. I'm glad the kids had fun with him while you were away, but I bet they missed you lots as well. Anyway, it's good that you can finally go back to blogging and enjoy some quality time with your family. I hope the trip for work went well. Take care!
