Thanksgiving Break Recap

Thanksgiving Weekend Recap just didn't seem to give the long Thanksgiving break justice. 3 days is a long weekend, 4 days is a break.

We had a great Thanksgiving spent with family and of course food and we even managed to get some things done around the house. In my pajamas of course.

You'll notice the colors in all these photos are a little off. My phone's camera got switched onto a weird color mode and I didn't realize it until I was uploading these photos.

Thursday was lunch at my parent's house and dinner at J's aunt's house.
Raiding the fridge before lunch. He just couldn't make it 5 more minutes.

We hit up the grocery store Friday morning and the boys shared this car cart for the first time. Jack LOVED it and kept saying, "beep, beep," as he drove through the store.

That night we got all the Christmas decorations out and the tree up. Don't mind our leaning star.

Ben was SO excited when I pulled out the Christmas pillows. Until he crashed from the excitement of the last few days.

Saturday was filled with more lounging, laundry, and  mini superheros.

That afternoon we also had a mini photoshoot and I got a sneak peek of the pictures last night. We tried out a new photographer and she was amazing! Not that it's that big of deal, but you can't even see Jack's biopsy scar in the pictures.

To reward all the smiling, I took the boys to get ice cream afterwards. They were over pictures at this point.

On Sunday we went to church, lunch with my parents, and then dinner with J's parents where Jack managed to eat food from almost everyone's plate at the table.

After the kids went to bed I made some red velvet cookies (recipe coming soon) for my work Christmas party today and stuffed my socks for a white elephant-ish sock exchange. Bring on the holiday season!

I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving and I can't wait to read all the recaps!

  1. The kids are so cute! Looks like a fun weekend. Those cookies look delicious. I've never had them as red velvet but when they're chocolate that's pretty much my favorite cookie.

    1. Thanks! I think they're pretty cute:) I've never had them as chocolate, but I'll definitely have to try that! I've made them with funfetti and lemon and those were pretty good too:)
