Weekend Recap

Happy MLK Day! Although I'm doing a recap of our weekend, ours isn't technically over yet since the boys and I have today off.

My Christmas present from J finally arrived (again) after they sent us the wrong size the first time. Next time it rains or snows I'm busting these bad boys out.

Friday night we went to our favorite pizza place for pizza obvi.

Saturday morning the boys and I headed to a new donut place that just opened Friday. We got there at 8:00 and they were completely sold out of several kinds and busily making a few remaining flavors. The boys waited very patiently for their donuts and Jack stared down those eating around him.

After the boys scarfed down their glazed, we brought these home for J.

Saturday afternoon J and Ben went to see Paddington Bear and since Jack refused to nap earlier in the day, he was ready for bed at 5:30. I'll take any cuddles I can.

I have to confess that this weekend I have gotten my craft on. Like a lot. I made these bracelets that Lisa posted about last week. I'm in LOVE with them! This might be my favorite DIY ever.

Sunday morning J requested I make another trip to the new donut place. This time I went as soon as we woke up and they had just about every flavor including maple bacon, which Ben tried, and red velvet.

After donuts, Ben went to a friend's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Jack and this boy's sister are in the same class at school and Jack had fun showing off his super strength at Whack A Mole.

I can't believe it, but I got even more cuddles until J made me share.

Sunday night I put the finishing touches on this DIY Valentine wreath which I'll post about soon. I also started one more Valentine DIY which I'll share when it's done. Told ya I got my craft on.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. Visiting from the link up! Those donuts look delicious, I wish I had a good donut place near by, we only have the big coffee & donut chains and pre-packed grocery store ones. I'd love for a bakery to start making 'real' donuts! Enjoy your long weekend. :)

    1. Do you have a Krispy Kreme near you? I'm not a huge donut fan, but those are addicting! Thanks for stopping by.
