Decorative Medicine Boxes

One great thing about moving is that it forces you to get rid of things and organize whether you want to or not. We've always kept all of our medicines. bandaids, etc in one big rubbermaid bin and it was getting out of control. I decided to go through and throw away all the expired medicine and ones that we never use. When was the last time you took a look at your medicine stash? I guarantee that you probably have no less than a handful of expired stuff.

After I bought all new medicine to replace the expired ones, I didn't want to just throw them back in a messy tub so I searched Pinterest for a cute way to organize medications and came across these adorable and FREE printables from Dream a Little Bigger. Once you've printed these out you'll have an organized stash in less than 5 minutes!

What You'll Need:
-photo boxes (the printable has 4 different categories, but I only used 2)
-scissors
-glue
-these printables

Begin by cutting out the categories you want to use. I went with First Aide and Aches & Pains. The other ones were cute, but I didn't want to have 4 separate medicine boxes and honestly we don't take enough medicine to fill 4 boxes.

I bought my photo boxes at Walmart. I think they were $2 a piece which is way cheaper than what I could find on Amazon. I also used a foam brush to apply the glue, but it's not necessary. I used glue vs. Mod Podge because I didn't want a shiny finish.

One side of the boxes had this label spot, but I just turned it around and used the side without.

Apply the glue evenly to the back of the label and place it at the bottom of the box. You want to glue it at the bottom because the lid will cover a portion of the top of the box once you place it back on.

Notice how I glued it all the way to the bottom of the edge and how the lid covers almost a fourth of the top when it's on.

There you have it! Fresh and organized, all ready for the next time you're feeling sick. And maybe just looking at your organized box the next time you're reaching for the tylenol will make you start to feel better!

    1. Thanks! Out of all the house projects that need to be done this was probably the least important, but it was also the quickest:)
